A-level students can study psychic phenomena as part of a new syllabus.
In the Uk starting from September 2009 schools and colleges will include as an option in its A-levels psychology syllabus
subjects that were once frowned upon like near death experience,psychic healing and talking to the dead. This study is anomalistic psychology.
Anomalistic pyschology is an attempt to understand scientifically extraordinary behaviour or experiences including the paranormal.

I believe more and of the academia is warming up to the unexplained including the psychic phenomena. There is an increasing number of professors linking psychic events to quantum mechanics.
